Chavez Receives Vast Popular Support after Message to Venezuelan People PDF Print E-mail

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 1 (acn) Today, the Bolivar Square, in Caracas, became the stage for the Venezuelan people to express the popular support of President Hugo Chavez, after his message about his health condition, which was broadcasted on Thursday from Cuba.

According to Prensa Latina news agency, after the message, Venezuelan vice president Elias Jaua, along with the executive Cabinet and the High Military Command, issued a call urging all public instances to continue their work for the strengthening of the Bolivarian process and to carry on with the Revolution.

Right after Chavez read the message for his country and the international public opinion, Venezuelans started to gather at the Bolivar Square to express their respect and solidarity, as well as their confidence in the soon recovery of their president, reports Telesur.

Deputies to the National Assembly by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) such as Aristobulo Isturiz, Cilia Flores, Blanca Eekhout and Dario Vivas joined the Venezuelan people in the Square.

Isturiz, first vice president of the Parliament, said that Venezuela should be proud of its leader, who is overcoming these difficult moments, and assured that every men and women on the streets is also a Chavez.

As reported by Prensa Latina, Eekhout pointed out that the people walks along his president and will receive him with open arms for the 2012 presidential elections.
