HAVANA, Cuba, May 31. Cuba´s First Vice-President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura received this Thursday Hu Chunchua, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Party Secretary of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, who leads a visiting delegation to Cuba.

Both leaders exchanged on the main tasks and challenges ahead for China and Cuba, in the middle of a world crisis, to fulfil the agreements both communist parties reached during their respective congresses.

Machado Ventura praised the existing relations between the Cuban Communist Party and its Chinese counterpart, and Hu Chunhua said he was greatly satisfied to make this long-awaited visit which he wished for since the time he was a youth communist leader.

On the Cuban side were present several party officials including José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, member of the Secretariat and head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Central Committee.

Hu Chunchua and his delegation met with other government officials and visited economic, tourist and cultural places of interest.
